Great stories

Walking around the Quad the last hour, talking with graduates and their families — there are some great stories.  Kimberly Cruz came to Wake Forest in 1990, had to leave after a couple of years for financial and medical reasons, and after 17 years is graduating.  She’s wearing a gold WFU cast on one foot, the result of ankle surgery.  She runs marathons and told her eight-year-old daughter that it’s important to always finish when you start, so she came back to Wake Forest to finish her degree in anthropology.  She came back because of the great faculty, she said. “People don’t realize how truly unique the faculty is, they really care about people.”
